Artist Bio

Connor Mikaelian is a Ceramics Artist that has recently graduated from Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri. He received a BFA in 3D Studies with an emphasis in Ceramics, as well as a minor in Art History. His work recognizes the intimacy objects have in our lives while also dealing with longing, objective lifespan, and sentimentality. Using clay as a medium, he creates forms and wares that celebrate raw material and processed images simultaneously. His work has been featured in multiple shows including the 2020 Senior Exhibition showcase and the 2017 3D Foundation showcase in Springfield.  He is an active member in the community student organization Clayworks, and he actively participates in events hosted by the organization including raku firing demonstrations, the Annual Halloween Clay Pumpkin Carving, and others.
